Michael Asher
From September 11 Memories
Michael Edward Asher was a victim of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. He was an employee of Cantor Fitzgerald Securities and was killed in the attack on the World Trade Center at the age of 53.
Mike Asher gave me my first chance in the USA. I finished school at Villanova, a fresh graduate out of school from India and Mike hired me on a strange connection he felt between my skills and the company. He is one of the best persons to shake a hand with; firm and genuine. He shook my hand and gave me my first job in the USA. I owe him that forever. I still remember his eyes as they glistened in excitement of the growing company. I have many occasions that I remember not liking him as part of my job, but the only lingering impression I have of him is his excitement toward opportunities. His eyes just light up. I like him because he is a genuine, fair and honest human being. What else does a person need to do to get to heaven?
