The hijacking
Flight 11 takes off at 7:59am and is several minutes late. The last communication with Flight 11 was around 8:13am when it reached it's crusing altitude. At about 8:14am, Waleed al-Shehri, and Wail al-Shehri, sitting in seats 2A and 2B walked uup to two flight attendants and stabbed them. Daniel Lewin who was sitting in back of Satam al-Suqami tried to interfere, but was killed by most likely Suqami. After Wail and Waleed had stormed the cockpit, Mohammed Atta the trained pilot took over the plane. The hijackers moved the remaining passengers to the back of the plane. Betty Ong, a flight attendant called American flight controllers on the ground. Midway through the hijacking Mohammed Atta turned on the transponder and said "We have some planes, and a bomb on board. We are going back to the airport. If you try to make any stupid moves you will just endanger yourself and the plane"
At 8:46:40, the plane crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
