Alan Linton
From September 11 Memories
Alan Patrick Linton, Jr. (1975 - September 11, 2001) Financial analyst for Sandler O'Neill and Partners, an investment banking firm with offices on the 104th floor of the World Trade Center's south tower.
He phoned his mother, Sharon, after the first hijacked plane crashed into the north tower. "He called to say he was fine," Sharon said. "That was before anyone knew it was a terrorist attack. We just thought it was an accident." He became a casualty of the attacks when a second plane crashed into the south tower, which was the first to collapse.
He was graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg with a double major in industrial management and economics. He traveled home to Frederick, Maryland almost every weekend. He is survived by his parents Sharon and Alan "Pat" Linton, a sister Laura Anspach and a brother Scott all of Frederick.
